Job Title: SN Developer - SAM

Location(s): Austin TX

Job Description

As a SAM Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions related to Software Asset Management. You will work closely with IT, procurement, and compliance teams to ensure our SAM processes and tools are effective, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom solutions and integrations for SAM tools and systems.
  • Implement and customize SAM modules to meet organizational needs and improve software asset management practices.
  • Integrate SAM tools with other IT systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and effective asset management.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between SAM systems and procurement, finance, and ITSM tools.
  • Create and manage data import/export processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date software asset information.
  • Develop and enforce data validation rules to maintain the integrity of SAM data.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes related to software asset tracking and management.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement optimizations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAM operations.
  • Develop and deliver reports and dashboards on software asset utilization, compliance, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze SAM data to provide insights and recommendations for better asset management and cost control.
  • Provide technical support for SAM systems and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex problems and ensure minimal disruption to services.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAM solutions, including design specifications, user guides, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate team members on SAM tools and best practices.
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in SAM practices.
  • Participate in project retrospectives and suggest improvements for SAM processes and solutions.
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in software development with a focus on Software Asset Management or related fields.
  • Proven experience with SAM tools and platforms (e.g., Flexera, Service Now SAM, Snow License Manager).
