Cybersecurity Penetration Testing & SIEM Integration Engineer

Luna Data Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Penetration Testing & SIEM Integration Engineer for a long‑term onsite contract in Austin, TX (78751). This role supports the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) and contributes to Zero Trust, continuous monitoring, and security modernization initiatives.

• Design and develop secure software components, APIs, and microservices supporting penetration testing and automation.
• Build integrations between penetration testing platforms, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM systems.
• Develop data pipelines for Splunk and other SIEM platforms.
• Automate security testing, evidence collection, and reporting.
• Support penetration testing environments and Kali Linux infrastructure.
• Create exploit scripts and automation supporting red team operations.
• Develop connectors, log parsing, enrichment, and normalization for SIEM.
• Collaborate with CSOC for monitoring and detection requirements.
• Create scripts using Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for security tools.
• Ensure alignment with internal SOP requirements.

• 8+ years cybersecurity experience, including automation and platform integrations.
• 8+ years penetration testing/Kali Linux experience.
• 8+ years scripting (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
• 3+ years software development (Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#).
• 3+ years building REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• (Preferred) 3+ years of experience developing security data pipelines and SIEM integrations.
• (Preferred) 3+ years of experience designing scalable and resilient security tool architectures.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, VMware, and regulated environments.

• OSCP, CEH.
• Splunk Developer or SIEM‑focused certification.
• Security+, CISSP.
• Linux administration certification.
