We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and customer-focused Ecommerce Merchandiser to join our growing team. This role is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience to drive sales, improve conversion rates, and enhance customer engagement, with a primary focus on ensuring compelling product presentation. The position demands strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends, creative thinking for developing effective merchandising strategies, and a solid understanding of online retail dynamics and consumer behavior.
You will be instrumental in shaping the customer journey and directly impacting our ecommerce success.
- Experience in ecommerce merchandising, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Proven proficiency with major ecommerce platforms (e.g., Big Commerce, Shopify, Magento/Adobe Commerce)
- Strong understanding of online customer behavior, product storytelling, and visual merchandising
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Console, Microsoft Clarity) and experience using data to drive decisions
- Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
- Familiarity with UX design principles and web usability best practices, with an understanding of how design impacts customer engagement and conversion.
- Working knowledge of SEO, AEO, and paid media best practices as they relate to product listings and onsite merchandising
- Exposure to inventory planning concepts, margin review, and clearance and sale best practices
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., VWO, Optimizely) and applying conversion optimization strategies
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website content management systems (CMS)
- Oversee the online product catalog, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appeal of product listings.
- Develop and implement strategies for product categorization, navigation, and on-site search to enhance product discoverability and user experience.
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies for the homepage, category pages, landing pages, and product detail pages to maximize sales and customer engagement.
- Curate product collections and recommendations based on seasonality, trends, promotions, customer behavior, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with photography and content teams to ensure high-quality and consistent product assets.
- Manage and regularly audit the online product catalog to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality merchandising across all listings
- Monitor and analyze site traffic, customer behavior, and sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, set up, and manage online promotions and new product launches.
- Work closely with the inventory and operations teams to monitor stock levels and ensure product availability aligns with merchandising plans.
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to merchandising, such as conversion rates, AOV, bounce rate, and category performance.
