We are part of Amazon devices, inventive research and development team responsible for building products from Kindle to Amazon Echo.

The Role:

As a Hardware Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced inter‑disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer and industrial products. You will work closely with an internal inter‑disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, test and delivery. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead internal inter‑disciplinary teams through the product execution phase process.
  • Create and own the project plan, including the schedule.
  • Work with the Product Manager to derive the product requirements and obtain executive approval.
  • Drive and motivate the cross‑functional team to deliver the product(s) as per the agreed‑to requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate engineering builds at the supplier and drive configuration management deliverables to ensure the timely release of all assemblies to production.
  • Drive execution of projects.
  • Lead cross‑functional project meetings.
  • Lead milestone reviews.
  • Present project status to the executive team.
  • Manage project builds globally.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.

    The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
