Neos is seeking a Sr. People Soft Functional Analyst HCM for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX.
HYBRID (TEXAS) - ONLY CANDIDATES CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE AUSTIN, TX AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED.
This position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office onsite at 200
E. 18th St, Austin, Texas 78701.

Description of ServicesThe Worker must be comfortable working in an Agile/SCRUM environment conducting daily stand-up meetings, maintaining the Azure Dev Ops application in accordance with ERS standards in support of a conversion from the legacy People Soft application to a cloud hosted replacement.
General DescriptionThis role is functional in nature and will not require hands-on coding; it will require enough technical acumen to research problems in the legacy system using People Tools/Code, SQL, etc. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and skills in both the functional and technical aspects of People Soft. The role will also require extensive Functional Analyst skills and solid experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment as part of a data conversion team, including mapping data fields and performing root-cause analysis in the legacy People Soft application to identify the cause of data problems.
FunctionalResponsibilities
The worker must have impeccable oral and written communication skills, solid experience with the integration of the core modules within the People Soft HRMS 8.8 application (HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll), and experience researching processing requirements between other systems – upstream and downstream. This worker must be equally confident conversing with top-level management and developers, and be able to engage in detailed conversations with users at the functional level and developers at the technical level.
The candidate should be able to read People Code, write SQL, and analyze data.
The ideal candidate would have experience on data conversion projects; has been a hands-on project team lead, and has substantial experience as a functional resource in Benefits Administration, Payroll, or Pension Administration modules. Experience should include past development work with People Soft code, SQL, Application Engine and SQR programs and the ability to determine how a page or Application Engine processes data.

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification(s) a plus.

- 5+ years – Project Team experience utilizing Agile Methodologies
- 6+ years – Experienced in gathering requirements towards changes the People Soft application
- 6+ years – Demonstrated current hands-on functional experience in one or more of the following People Soft modules: HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll
- 6+ years – The most recent six years must have been working exclusively as a People Soft Functional Analyst
- 8+ years – Solid understanding of technical aspects of the People Soft application
- 5+ years – Strong SQL skills, ability to write and execute advanced SQL in both Oracle and SQL Server
- 5+ years – Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- 10+ years – Working in Information Technology
- 2+ years – Past experience as a developer in one or more of the following People Soft modules: HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll
- 2+ years – Solid People Tools skills, including Application Engine, People Code, and SQR
- 3+ years – Ability to manage a Scrum or Kanban team
