Lab Ops Stability - TX – Join Knowledgent in Austin, TX for a 100% onsite lab operations role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manual handling and maintenance of 100s of Mac NPI hardware and test devices.
- Assisting engineers with regression data requests and additional data needs.
- Tracking and cataloging devices under test and peripherals.
- Setting up hardware and performing regular software updates.
- Unboxing, racking, and preparing DUTs and peripherals for daily testing.
- Manually preparing hardware for automated test frameworks, including cabling, configuring, and scanning.
- Rapidly tearing down racks to free space for other projects.
- On-site troubleshooting and assistance during lab operations.
- Maintaining lab test equipment and infrastructure as required.
- Prioritizing tasks and communicating status to the team.
- Alerting team members if unable to complete tasks on time.
- Documenting test processes for future reference.
- Performing manual tasks for maintaining or setting up new lab spaces.
Success Criteria / Definition Of Done
- Accepts critical feedback and makes necessary improvements.
- Completes all queued requests within defined deadlines.
- Communicates clearly and timely with the team.
- Handles support requests accurately and timely, following instructions.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Expertise in test infrastructure setup for stability labs.
- Experience troubleshooting software/hardware issues for Mac, iPhone, iPad, GPUs/CPUs.
- Ability to lift hardware up to 50 lbs.
- Manual preparation of hardware for testing.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working in an Apple test environment.
- Knowledge of Mac hardware.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Comfort using Terminal and bash.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High level of time‑management skills.
