Sr Technical Program Manager

Location: Austin, TX ( 3 days work from office)

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive business impact across engineering, product, data, and operations teams. This role requires strong program strategy, exceptional communication, and deep technical understanding to orchestrate end-to-end delivery. The TPM will own program planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, and risk mitigation to ensure successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

• Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale technical programs—from initiation and roadmap planning to execution and delivery.
• Define program goals, success metrics, timelines, and delivery milestones across multiple teams.
• Establish scalable processes, documentation standards, and governance frameworks to ensure smooth program execution.
• Coordinate with engineering, product management, quality, data science, design, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
• Facilitate effective communication channels among cross-functional teams to prevent silos and improve decision-making speed.
• Resolve dependency conflicts and ensure teams have the clarity and resources needed to deliver.

• Provide clear, data-driven program updates to leadership, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards, program reports, and communication artifacts to track progress, risks, and KPIs.
• Act as the primary point-of-contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding program status.

• Build detailed project plans that include scope, schedule, resources, and critical path.
• Translate strategic business goals into actionable work streams and deliverables.
• Manage prioritization and trade-off discussions across teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Identify program risks, bottlenecks, and blockers early, and develop actionable mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate risk reviews and create contingency plans to safeguard timelines and quality.
• Ensure issues are escalated appropriately and resolved in a timely manner.

• Collaborate deeply with engineering teams to understand technical constraints, architectural decisions, and system integrations.
• Evaluate technical proposals and influence solution design from a program perspective.

• Continuously assess and improve team workflows through retrospectives and operational excellence initiatives.
• Introduce tools, automation, and best practices to increase program predictability and efficiency.

• 7+ years of experience in technical program or project management within software, cloud, data, or platform environments.
• The project includes work on Data Engineering. Any background on working on Data Engineering, Data governance will be a big bonus
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile/Scrum/Kanban).
• Exceptional communication and executive-level presentation skills.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, etc.) and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, internal dashboards).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
