QA Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Hybrid Contract role in Austin, TX
, requiring onsite presence three days per week. The ideal candidate will have strong manual and automation testing experience, hands-on scripting expertise, and the ability to lead QA efforts across multi-geography teams.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $56/hour

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Supporting manual QA activities including test design, test planning, exploratory testing, and end-to-end validation
• Automating UI and API test scenarios using Selenium, Playwright, Java, Type Script/JavaScript, and Page Object Model (POM) frameworks
• Performing code reviews for automation coverage and maintaining regression test suites and frameworks
• Working in a Shift-Left environment, enabling early testing within development cycles
• Executing API testing using tools such as Postman and contributing to CI/CD integration through Jenkins or Azure Dev Ops
• Enhancing automation frameworks, maintaining code quality metrics via Sonar Qube and Grafana, and managing scripts in Git
• Leading QA activities across distributed teams and ensuring efficient communication and collaboration
• Designing new automation frameworks from scratch when required and writing SQL queries for validation
• Supporting performance testing efforts with tools such as JMeter, Load Runner, Blaze Meter, or Sitespeed (good to have)

• Strong automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, Java, Type Script/Java Script
• Deep understanding of POM frameworks, CI/CD tools, and Shift-Left practices
• Experience executing, maintaining, and enhancing regression automation suites
• Familiarity with SQL, Git, Sonar Qube, Grafana, and API testing tools
• Experience working as QA lead across multi-geography teams
• Strong manual testing skills with experience in E2E testing
• Excellent communication, analytical abilities, and organizational skills

Pay Details: $50.00 to $56.00 per hour
