About the TeamNetwork Deployment Services (NDS) owns network provisioning, lifecycle management, ISP support for Amazon’s global fulfillment, transportation, and grocery sites worldwide. We evaluate customer demand and deploy scalable network solutions — from new site builds and infrastructure refreshes to circuit deployments that keep our facilities connected. Our team plays a critical role in enabling Amazon’s global operations network to grow and operate reliably at scale.
Key Job Responsibilities- Set technical vision and strategy for the network provisioning team, guide architectural decisions & establish technical standards. Champion integration of AI and machine learning to enhance network automation and operations.
- Drive operational excellence through automated network solutions, establish metrics & KPIs to measure service health & performance, ensure timely delivery of network development projects, scale development practices to support rapid platform expansion across global operations.
- Partner with internal teams & external vendors to drive innovation in network automation & tooling. Influence product roadmaps, integrate emerging technologies & champion AI‑powered tools & generative AI applications for network operations. Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation through strategic partnerships.
- Establish engineering metrics to measure service availability, deployment velocity & system reliability. Drive quality through code reviews, automated testing & continuous integration. Measure deployment success rates, defect rates, network capacity utilization & cycle times for continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular technical roadmap reviews & align operational priorities with organizational objectives. Provide mentoring in network engineering, automation development & software engineering practices. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation & continuous learning.
You’ll lead a team of engineers supporting Amazon’s global site build network deployments. Your stakeholders include Operations Technology leadership, partner engineering teams & external vendors. Day‑to‑day, you’ll balance strategic planning with hands‑on problem solving — unblocking your team, aligning priorities across organizations, and ensuring builds stay on track. Your customers are the operations sites launching worldwide that depend on network connectivity from day one.

- Experience with network operations either as a manager or individual contributor
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
