Onsite in Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA from Day 1 (Client prefers local folks)
Hybrid
Schedule:
3 Onsite Days (Tue, Wed, Thur) & 2 Remote Days (Mon, Fri)
Long-Term Contract
No middle layer or Implementation partners involved
Required Experience- Hands-on AWS migration experience
, preferably from Client Cloud or similar environments - Prior work on Gutenberg-based applications
- Strong background with:
- EC2
- Auto Scaling
- Load balancing
- Experience working with Mongo
DB clusters in production - Performance analysis and tuning experience
- Perform performance analysis of existing applications
- Define auto-scaling and capacity planning strategy
- Prepare detailed migration plan and reports
- Support execution of migration in Q3
- Post-migration:
- Update and optimize AWS deployment processes
- Provide AWS operational support
- Ex-client or experience working in Client infrastructure environments
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and drive migration planning
We are planning a migration of three interconnected applications (Gutenberg stack) currently hosted on Client Cloud to AWS
. Migration will be executed in phases, with a strong focus on performance analysis, scalability, and reliability

:
- Performance analysis and benchmarking
- Migration planning and reporting
Q3
:
- Execution of AWS migration
- Go-live and stabilization
- Existing Gutenberg applications running on client Cloud
- Backend includes Mongo
DB clusters - Limited or no native auto-scaling in current setup
- AWS-based infrastructure with:
- EC2-centric architecture
- Auto Scaling Groups
- High availability and scalability
- Operational support on AWS after cutover
Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
