THE ROLE:

In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery of system‑level test and burn‑in equipment that ensures the functional quality and long‑term reliability of AMD’s industry‑leading microprocessor and graphics products. You will define requirements, architect solutions, and lead the build, validation, and global deployment of test platforms used in high‑volume manufacturing. This position plays a critical role in enabling first‑time‑right product launches by bridging hardware, firmware, and software disciplines to deliver robust, scalable test solutions that support AMD’s technology roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Owns delivering validated, production system level test and burn‑in equipment solutions for new microprocessor and graphics products that meet on time delivery and first time right goals without compromising product yields and planned capacity
  • Leads and project manages cross‑functional, technical teams to meet project goals
  • Oversees equipment schedule, budget, design, ordering, build, validation, and deployment
  • Proactively supports internal customers and external test facilities
  • Collaborates on new system level test and burn‑in hardware designs and technology
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven ownership of large‑scale equipment development programs, from concept through deployment
  • Ability to lead technical teams, drive deep technical discussions, and manage project execution
  • Strong background in modern computer hardware architecture
  • Experience integrating hardware boards, firmware, and software
  • Hands‑on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
  • Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences, including creation and presentation of technical documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive resolution of yield or hardware availability issues (e.g., tiger teams)
  • Proficient in developing and managing hardware budgets
  • Experience driving material procurement and coordinating vendor deliverables
  • Proficient in building and maintaining hardware development and deployment schedules
  • Effective meeting leadership, including action tracking and follow‑up
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree preferred.
