Overview
Simcorp Business Systems Analyst — Hybrid in Austin, TX. Candidates need to have Simcorp experience.
Responsibilities- Performs highly advanced (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Directs planning, budgeting, and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve.
- Analyze system functionality to identify and resolve problems; review business requirements to ensure software conforms to requirement specifications and standards; prepare and conduct system testing to validate the system is working as desired.
- Evaluate software release notes and other data to determine, plan and coordinate software upgrades; coordinate activities across business units and technical resources; serve as a liaison between CLIENT and external organizations in support of applications/systems. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
- Coordinate with system users and software developers to identify and analyze system requirements, develop functional design specifications, create user stories and test cases, meet requirements, and solve complex operational problems.
- Evaluate software release notes and other data to determine, plan and coordinate software upgrades. Evaluate new software modules to determine suitability for organizational use.
- Use Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies as appropriate. 40% of time coordinates and/or tests and diagnoses financial accounting, general ledger, and investment performance systems to ensure requirements are met, verify the software conforms to specifications, and that all standards are met.
- Create test plans and coordinate execution with appropriate resources; document bugs identified; record test results and produce other system documentation as appropriate.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing. Work with developers to ensure adequate automated test coverage.
- Coordinate the prioritization and tracking of system change requests. Serve as the liaison between business units and technical resources, and between CLIENT and Sim Corp, facilitating system change requests and application support.
- Required
Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree. - Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, Math, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems; or Master’s degree in accounting.
- Required Experience: Seven years of experience in technology, middle office, operations, or accounting at a buy-side institutional firm; seven years with Simcorp Dimension implementing at a buy-side firm; five years in general ledger accounting, investment accounting, or financial reporting; five years in accounting, investment and trading systems software, processes and data; three years as an analyst/tester in software development or finance with experience composing requirements, test plans, scripts, executing tests, or testing configurations;
three years with software development management tools. - Preferred Experience: Experience in investment banking, cash management, treasury and/or trust operations; USAS and/or CAPPS-General Ledger Module; audits;
Agile;
Jira or Target Process;
Target Foundation Server or other source control tools.
