The Role

As Product Manager, Client AI, you will be at the forefront of shaping the AI software experience for AMD’s client platforms. This role is about more than managing deliverables—it’s about collaborating deeply with ISVs to define and elevate the user experience on today’s APUs, while also forging partnerships and incubating new ideas that will influence the definition of future APU roadmaps.

You will drive the vision for how AI capabilities are realized in software, ensuring our solutions not only meet current market needs but also anticipate and set the standard for what’s next. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning internal teams and external partners, translating strategic goals into innovative, impactful product experiences that position AMD as a leader in client AI.

The Person

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Lead to Provide BU Direction for ISV Engagement:
    Set the strategic direction for ISV engagement by identifying, prioritizing, and recommending which ISVs the ISV team should partner with and onboard. Go beyond high‑level strategy by developing specific use cases, compelling value propositions, and partnership arrangements that clearly articulate why ISVs should collaborate with AMD.
  • Shape AI Software

    Experience:

    Collaborate with ISVs to define and elevate the AI software experience on current AMD client platforms and incubate new ideas and partnerships that influence the definition of future APU roadmaps.
  • Drive AI Go‑To‑Market (GTM) Strategy:
    As product owner, define the AI value proposition and product truth for launches and customer engagement. Develop the foundational messaging, use cases, and proof points that guide the marketing team in creating demos and collateral for product launches.
  • Bridge Internal Projects and External Opportunity:
    Proactively identify and shape opportunities by defining use cases, driving proof‑of‑concept projects, and ensuring AMD is actively influencing the future of client AI through strategic partnerships and incubation.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with engineering, marketing, business development, and research teams to translate strategic goals into actionable product requirements and deliverables.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in product management, technical program management, or a related role in the AI, software, or semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product requirements, author PRDs/MRDs, and drive cross‑functional alignment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to synthesize market and customer insights into actionable product plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, marketing, and business development teams.
