  • We are looking to hire a Manual Tester with 6+ years of work experience with at least 4+ years of hand-on experience with Web Application Testing
    .
  • The tester will be working in a fast paced mission driven public sector project, providing them an opportunity to learn and enhance their skills
    .

An eligible candidate must have the following skillsets:

  • Experience with Database testing with strong SQL knowledge in writing complex SQLs
    .
  • Experience in testing REST and SOAP services using JAX-WS/RS.
  • Experience in writing test cases using ALM tool and need to possess good understanding of all ALM Modules
  • Experience using c or related JIRA plug-ins as the defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Experience running batch jobs in Linux to validate Interface files.
  • Candidate must have project experience with Agile methodology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral and ability to easily interact and make presentations to the team and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidate should have a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented and a team-player.
  • A strong candidate would also be able to demonstrate their competency in the below areas:
  • Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) to test and ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Experience with HHSC legacy data, databases and applications.
  • More than one (1) year of experience in quality assurance of projects in the Human Service/Eligibility domain, such as SNAP, HEAP, PA, Child Care, Fair Hearings, Reports, Analytics, or Financial Management
    .
  • Ability to effectively work independently or with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyze systems, procedures, and problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to the face paced environment.
  • Ability to support after hours when needed.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes and use of JIRA
