Salty Cloud is a mission‑driven cybersecurity company helping complex organizations manage governance, risk, and compliance without the chaos. Our platform, Isora GRC, is the collaborative GRC Assessment Platform built for security teams. With Isora, teams run assessments, manage vendor and asset inventories, maintain a live risk register, and produce audit‑ready reports in one shared workspace. The result is stronger security programs, clearer visibility into risk, and faster collaboration across teams.
We primarily serve higher education, state and local government, academic medical centers, and financial services. Born in the security office at The University of Texas at Austin, we remain deeply connected to the communities we serve.
As a Public Benefit Corporation, we are committed to building a sustainable and ethical business that balances purpose with profit. Our mission is to empower security teams to turn risk into opportunity by simplifying complex processes, delivering actionable insights, and making collaboration central to risk management.
About the RoleWe’re building a content engine that educates, engages, and converts—and we need a leader to own it. As Content Marketing Manager, you’ll take full ownership of our organic channels (search, social, email) and drive sustainable traffic growth through smart strategy and relentless experimentation.
This is a role for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do. You’ll inherit an existing team and content operations workflow, but your job is to evolve both—scaling the team as needed, rethinking processes, and finding innovative ways to produce high‑quality, value‑driven content that people actually want to consume.
We’re looking for someone genuinely excited about where content is headed: someone who sees AI, data analytics, and emerging search behaviors as opportunities to move faster and smarter. You’ll lead our SEO strategy while also pioneering our approach to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) as the search landscape evolves.
If you’re a self‑starter who’s grown organic traffic 4x+ elsewhere, thrives with autonomy, and gets energized by building systems that scale—we want to talk.
Responsibilities- Own all organic channels end‑to‑end—search, social, and email, with full accountability for traffic growth and engagement
- Lead and scale the content team—inherit an existing team of writers and strategists, then hire, onboard, and develop additional talent as needed to meet demand
- Drive SEO, GEO, and AEO strategy—achieve and maintain strong keyword rankings, grow organic traffic, and stay ahead of how AI is reshaping search and discovery
- Evolve content operations—inherit existing workflows and make them better, leveraging AI and automation to increase velocity while maintaining quality
- Build systems for content at scale—design and implement processes for refreshing and evolving content over time, including planning (and potentially developing) automation tools with contractor support
- Create high‑value content assets—produce strategic resources that support demand generation and move prospects through the funnel
- Shape our content strategy—ensure comprehensive editorial coverage across key themes and audience segments, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth
- Expand into new formats and channels—explore and develop video, audio, webinars, podcasts, and interactive content to reach audiences beyond written content
- Proven organic growth results—you’ve driven 4‑8x+ traffic growth and can walk us through how you did it
- Self‑directed and autodidactic— you take ownership, figure things out, and don’t need to be managed closely
- Excited about AI and the future of search— you see GEO, AEO, and AI‑assisted content production as opportunities, not threats
- Data‑driven decision maker— you use analytics to inform strategy, not just report on it; comfortable with tools like Hub Spot, GA4, Looker, and SEMrush, and always open to learning new ones
- Editorial leadership experience— you’ve managed…
