Key Responsibilities Administer Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix DaaS, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Manage host pools, session hosts, delivery groups, MCS/Autoscale, and capacity planning Support FSLogix profiles, app layering, image lifecycle management Maintain Citrix Workspace, Store Front, Cloud Connectors, and Citrix Gateway Build, patch, and harden Windows Server 2022 environments Administer Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and patching processes Apply networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, load balancing, ACLs, firewall rules) Implement least-privilege access using OS firewalls, network firewalls, and Azure NSG/ASG Automate administrative tasks using Power Shell and basic IaC concepts Monitor and troubleshoot using Citrix Director/Analytics, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and performance tuning Follow TxDOT change, configuration, and security governance processes Produce clear technical documentation and SOPs Collaborate with application teams and service desks to deliver a high-quality end-user experience Participate in on-call rotation for high-priority incidents Required Skills & Experience 7+ Years Experience In:
Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / Citrix DaaS / Azure Virtual Desktop Enterprise Windows Server administration (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, patching, file/print) Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS, load balancing ACLs and firewall rule management Power Shell scripting and automation Monitoring and troubleshooting across Citrix/AVD, Windows Server, and network layers Technical documentation and ITSM processes (change & incident management) 4+ Years Experience (Preferred):
Azure network security Public-sector security frameworks (NIST 800-53) CIS hardening benchmarks Preferred Certifications Citrix: CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V Microsoft: AZ-104, AZ-140 ITIL Foundation CompTIA Network+ / Security+ Additional Requirements Onsite presence required – 5 days per week Austin, TX local candidates only Strong communication and documentation skills Experience supporting enterprise-scale, mission-critical environments
