Summary:
The Senior Manager is responsible for building and managing an enterprise data hub, integrating data across multiple systems, and defining the Data‑warehousing and BI strategy for the college.
Responsibilities- Supervise, train, coach, and coordinate personnel per HR policies.
- Define and design data‑warehousing solutions and ETL/ELT processes.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to provide analytics and data insights.
- Manage Informatica IICS and lead data‑integration projects.
- Supervise ETL and Informatica developers.
- Prioritize and delegate requests from product owners and scrum managers.
- Communicate with cross‑functional teams to determine data requirements.
- Analyze data and develop data architecture.
- Ensure accuracy of data‑management standards and documentation.
- Participate in the definition, implementation, and support of the integration strategy.
- Select, design, and implement the data hub, warehouse, and operational data layers.
- Engage with customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to the Business Intelligence team.
- Evaluate BI products and support decisions about scalability.
- Contribute to an agile team of experienced professionals.
- Create high‑level and detailed designs for current and future BI systems.
- Develop architecture diagrams, data models, and integration maps.
- Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse, BI reporting and analytics tools, cloud platforms, data lake, and big‑data technologies.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools.
- Strong data‑modeling skills.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server, Oracle SQL, and stored procedures.
- Understanding of data‑quality, master data management, and real‑time warehousing practices.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica IICS Suite.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving proficiency.
- Capacity to translate complex concepts into clear models.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical topics to business leaders.
- Independent, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented.
- Adherence to instructions and confidentiality.
- Effective relationship‑building across teams.
- Strategic technology planning and policy development skills.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and presentation Software.
- Experience with query control languages, application administration, and end‑user support.
- Knowledge of modeling tools such as ERWIN, Embarcadero, Visio, and Lucid Chart.
- Experience with modern databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
- Experience with analytics platforms (Tableau, SAS, Domo, Microsoft Power
BI). - Hands‑on ETL experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS), Data Stage, SSIS.
- ETL and SQL performance tuning.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Reliable transportation for travel in the Austin area as required.
- Supervise safe operation of units and facilitate safety inspections.
- Take reasonable actions to eliminate identified hazards.
- Ensure employees receive safety training and foster a culture of safety.
