Purpose

This position serves as the subject matter expert and technical contact for their focus application areas (Cadence and Prelude). The analyst leads in projects, changes, and the highest point of break/fix escalation, demonstrates full use and application of standard principles, theories, and concepts related to technical discipline, and provides solutions to a variety of complex problems.

Responsibilities
  • Designs, builds, configures, tests, and provides maintenance of clinical information systems with a focus on patient registration, scheduling, billing, and throughput. Serves as a liaison between business operations, providers, internal IT, system users, and vendors to resolve issues within project objectives.
  • Provides support to end‑users both remotely and in‑person. Monitors, investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves incoming tickets. Coordinates system fixes and changes with software vendors and coordinates deployment of application changes with training and operations.
  • Creates test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow changes. Performs testing of clinical information system configuration and processes, including cross‑application testing and configuration testing for other analysts. Coordinates and participates in requestor and user testing of application changes.
  • Collaborates with technical colleagues to identify any infrastructure‑related issues that have resulted in clinical application problems.
  • Provides ongoing end‑user clinical information system support for upgrades, releases, enhanced functionality, and requested change and problem management following ITIL processes.

  • Provides backup support during peak times or staff shortages.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Epic Certification or Accreditation (considered) in relevant Core application. Must maintain current certification for primary EHR module(s) as a condition of employment.
  • Strong understanding of IT principles, software development, and system analysis, typically evidenced by a Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of professional experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments.
  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large‑scale healthcare organization.
  • Two years’ experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large‑scale healthcare organization.
