Software Tester - Intermediate

QA Tester 12+ Months Contract Austin, TX (Onsite Role)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Tester with experience in testing web-based applications written in NodeJS. The candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of the application.

The QA Tester will work with a team of developers and other stakeholders to identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that the application is fully functional and error-free before release.

• Develop, implement, and improve test cases and test plans regularly.
• Identify, isolate, and report defects and issues discovered during testing.
• Generate test reports on a regular cadence.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that test cases cover all relevant features and requirements.
• Participate in system and regression testing to ensure the application is working at optimal levels.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and standards to improve product quality.

• 3-5 years Proven experience in software testing- UI preferred, with a focus on web-based applications written in NodeJS.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium.
• Demonstrable experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Ability to write automation scripts in JavaScript/Python.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
