Introduction to the Role & Team

At Bumble, our mission is to create a world where healthy relationships can flourish - and that starts with how people connect. As Senior Content Designer for Bumble Date, you'll help millions of people spark meaningful, equitable connections every day.

You'll join our passionate Product Design team, working at the intersection of words, design, and human behaviour. Together, we shape experiences that feel empowering, kind, and intuitive. Your craft will bring warmth and clarity to our product language - helping daters feel confident, safe, and seen.

This role is ideal for a creative systems thinker who's excited to champion inclusive language, design with empathy, and integrate AI‑enhanced tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of our design process. You'll role model Bumble's values of Courage and Curiosity, collaborating across disciplines to reimagine how language shapes connection.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the end-to-end content design strategy for Bumble Date, from concept to launch – defining the tone, language patterns, and content frameworks that make our experiences simple, human, and joyful.
  • Partner closely with Product Designers, UX Researchers, and Product Managers to shape design direction through language, ensuring every interaction reflects Bumble's values and supports user goals.
  • Create and maintain a cohesive content system, including voice, tone, terminology, and accessibility standards, aligned with Bumble's inclusive design principles.
  • Use data and user research to validate content choices and continuously refine messaging for clarity, engagement, and trust.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Localization teams to scale consistent, high‑quality product language globally.
  • Independently use AI tools for ideation, language testing, and workflow optimization – and champion their ethical, responsible use within the team.
  • Role model our Bumble core competencies: collaborate with purpose, take ownership from insight to impact, and adapt plans with an agile mindset.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Content Design discipline at Bumble by mentoring peers and sharing best practices.
About You
  • You're an experienced content designer, UX writer, or product writer who thrives on collaboration and clarity.
  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating impact across complex digital products, ideally within consumer tech, dating, or social connection spaces.
  • You are skilled in designing scalable content systems, voice and tone frameworks, and testing content for usability and conversion.
  • You have experience using Figma and design system tools, as well as familiarity with accessibility and localization best practices.
  • You are fluent in leveraging AI‑powered tools to accelerate content ideation, linguistic testing, or design iteration – always with a focus on human creativity and ethics.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills across cross‑functional teams.
  • You role model Bumble's values of Courage, Respect, and Joy in how you collaborate and make decisions.
  • Typically requires 6-8 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.
