Director, Data Governance – Exari Systems (Austin, TX)

We are seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Director of Data Governance to lead the strategy, implementation, and management of enterprise‑wide data governance. The role ensures that Coupa’s data assets are accurate, secure, compliant, and leveraged to drive massive value for our global customers.

• Develop and execute data governance strategy across the enterprise.
• Lead implementation of policies, standards, and controls to maintain data quality, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align data governance practices with business objectives.
• Monitor and report on governance metrics and key performance indicators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data literacy and stewardship culture.

• Proven experience in data governance, data quality, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices.
• Experience managing enterprise‑wide data initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
