Resources Business Group (RBG) Technology Director

As the RBG Technology Director, you will drive the strategic vision and tactical implementation of technology solutions within the Resources Business Group. Working closely with RBG leadership, Corporate Technology, and other HDR stakeholders, you will identify, evaluate, and implement technology initiatives to optimize project execution and foster innovation.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Develop a RBG technology vision and roadmap that identifies, develops, and monitors strategies for technology investments.
- Advance and implement technology solutions related to digital delivery, data management, optimization, automation, and visualization.
- Collaborate with external vendors, internal business classes, and corporate technology programs to align and advance RBG program initiatives for data analytics and artificial intelligence.
- Standardize approaches and best practices to increase efficiency of technology work and improve delivery quality.
- Identify programmatic hardware and software needs, such as high‑powered computing, and work with corporate technology to facilitate solutions.
- Establish technology guidelines, policies, and RBG software validation and maintenance procedures.
- Support practice and professional discipline groups to foster technology talent collaboration and skills development.
- Participate on project teams for larger programs and pursuits.
- li>Experience evaluating technology, software development, and deployment.
- Broad understanding of technologies applied within the power, waste, and/or industrial sectors.
- Experience in numerical modeling, digital production, data sciences, and artificial intelligence.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 executing projects or leading project teams in the Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industries.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute applied technology strategies, implementation plans, and foster lasting change within an organization.
- Experience in data architecture and data management, well‑versed in industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Experience in developing and managing diverse teams.
- Cooperative working relationship with business class directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.
- Commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
