The Cloud Senior Networking Engineer will help shape the next generation cloud solutions for Charles Schwab & Co. The ideal candidate will have experience in large‑scale cloud service design and implementation to protect virtualized workloads. They will serve as a subject‑matter expert for cloud networking, partner with application teams, security, and operations to design and support robust cloud networking solutions that meet business requirements, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on best practices and troubleshooting.

This role is for someone who sees themselves as a cloud practitioner with domain expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, related degree or related practical experience
• 7+ years of highly technical experience with cloud build and design in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Provider (GCP).
• 5+ years of cloud networking experience: CIDR, NAT, DNS, load balancing, hybrid connectivity, and multi‑cloud architectures.
• Coding experience with Terraform, Ansible, Salt or similar automation tools is a benefit as all provisioning includes Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Extensive experience building, implementing, and managing cloud network architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, hybrid connectivity, VPNs, Direct Connect, Interconnect, etc.) in either AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Working experience with SCM and Dev Ops tool suites; examples include Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse, etc.
• Experience in the development of policy and operational processes to ensure high availability and service of the entire technology stack.
• Experience working with application development and security architects to determine project requirements, specifications, and technical solutions.
• Experience with supporting mission‑critical, 24x7 systems.

• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, experience adopting or leading continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks.
• Cloud Provider Certification is a plus.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.
