Network Security & Cybersecurity Analyst (Onsite – Austin, TX)

We are seeking an experienced Network Security & Cybersecurity Analyst to support an ongoing public‑sector security initiative. This role focuses on securing enterprise networks and systems, evaluating existing cybersecurity tools and controls, and supporting risk reduction efforts across a large organization.

The ideal candidate combines hands‑on security operations experience with strong documentation, stakeholder engagement, and basic project‑management skills. This is a long‑term, onsite role in Austin, TX

• Monitor and protect enterprise networks and information systems against security threats, cyber‑attacks, and unauthorized access
• Install, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain security tools, hardware, and software
• Apply system and security updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain compliance and reduce vulnerabilities
• Evaluate existing cybersecurity tools, controls, and processes to identify gaps and security risks
• Develop and implement recommendations and risk‑reduction plans to improve security posture
• Investigate security incidents and assist with remediation and prevention strategies
• Develop, update, and maintain network and system security documentation
• Design and deliver project artifacts such as project plans, status reports
