We are currently seeking a Multi-Cloud Lead SQL/Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Austin, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Cloud Lead SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize SQL and object database environments across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and having secondary skills in Oracle Database administration. This role will focus on provisioning, performance tuning, high availability, backup, and security of SQL databases and cloud‑native object databases in a multi‑cloud environment, supporting mission‑critical applications and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Provision, configure, and maintain SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, MySQL, and Oracle DB instances in AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/Alloy
DB, and OCI Autonomous Database. - Design and implement high‑availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions such as multi‑AZ, failover groups, and cross‑region replication.
- Perform database backup, restore, patching, and upgrade operations across all cloud platforms.
- Monitor and tune database performance using cloud‑native monitoring tools and traditional database performance tools.
- Create linked servers to SQL Servers and other databases such as Oracle, Access, Informix, etc.
- Ensure deep insight monitoring is enabled on key databases to improve fault detection.
- Manage and optimize cloud‑native object databases including AWS Dynamo
DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Google Cloud Firestore/Bigtable, and Oracle No
SQL Database Cloud Service. - Implement best practices for partitioning, indexing, throughput provisioning, and capacity management.
- Establish lifecycle management policies for object data, backup strategies, and encryption.
- Automate database provisioning and configuration using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Azure ARM/Bicep templates, GCP Deployment Manager, and OCI Resource Manager.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes using Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or Cloud Build.
- Enforce database security policies, encryption (at rest and in transit), and access controls via IAM roles and policies across all clouds.
- Support audits by ensuring logging, alerting, and compliance with industry standards including HIPAA, PCI, SOC
2. - Collaborate with cloud engineers, Dev Ops teams, data analysts, and application developers to support development and production environments.
- Participate in on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Assist support staff in troubleshooting Oracle, SQL, and other database errors.
- Document all database configurations, processes, and policies.

Oracle, Exadata. - 10+ years of experience as an SQL DBA in enterprise environments.
- 4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience managing SQL databases in AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Strong experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/Alloy
DB, and OCI Autonomous Database. - Working knowledge of Dynamo
DB, Cosmos DB, Firestore/Bigtable, Oracle No
SQL Database. - Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and encryption mechanisms.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) practices.
- MCTS, MCITP certifications.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) credentials is a plus.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Database Engineer, OCI Database Cloud Professional).
