Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong Microsoft Sentinel experience to help strengthen and automate cybersecurity operations. This role focuses on building detection playbooks, behavior‑based analytics (UEBA), and custom integrations in a cloud‑first, Azure environment. You’ll work closely with security teams to detect and respond to threats in real time.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and deploy Microsoft Sentinel SOAR playbooks using Azure Logic Apps, Functions, ARM templates, and REST APIs
• Integrate Sentinel with tools like EDR, IAM, firewalls, and ticketing systems to automate threat response
• Create UEBA rules, ML‑based detection logic, and advanced KQL queries
• Design custom connectors, parsers, dashboards, and hunting queries aligned with MITRE ATT&CK
• Develop microservices and automation scripts using Python, Power Shell, or .NET
• Support Tier III incident analysis, performance tuning, and optimization
• Document workflows, architectures, and SOPs for deployments

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years in cloud‑based security development, software engineering, or SIEM engineering
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, SOAR, and UEBA
• Strong knowledge of Azure‑native technologies (Logic Apps, Functions, Event Hubs, Azure AD)
• Skilled in scripting/automation (Power Shell, Python) and advanced KQL
• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles, NIST, and security operations workflows
• Strong communicator who can explain technical solutions to both IT and business audiences
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Austin, TX

Nice‑to‑Haves:

• Experience in regulated or public‑sector environments
• Prior integrations of Sentinel with common security tools
• Experience with Git‑based CI/CD pipelines or Infrastructure‑as‑Code
