THE ROLE:

Lead the post-silicon Power & Performance (PnP) attainment for AMD’s flagship embedded x86 SoCs.

THE PERSON:

You will guide a team across validation, debug, tuning, fuse definition, power management firmware guidance, and performance attainment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own end-to-end post-silicon PnP attainment across power, thermal, electrical, and performance KPIs.
  • Define and execute PnP validation strategy
    , covering EDC/TDC, DVS behavior, thermal throttling, frequency behaviors, and fuse configurations.
  • Drive power and performance optimization
    , requiring deep collaboration with FW, BIOS, OS, and SoC architects.
  • Deliver product-level attainment aligned with PRD specifications and customer commitments.
  • Provide fuse setting recommendations
    , power management FW guidance, and tuning instructions.
  • Manage cross-functional debug efforts for silicon issues impacting power, thermal, droop, frequency, or stability.
  • Own dashboards and reporting mechanisms for PnP status across milestones.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong understanding of CPUs/APUs, power management, firmware, OS stack.
  • Deep hands-on silicon debug experience.
  • Automotive/industrial product exposure.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • MS in EE/CE with experience in SoC bring-up, performance tuning, or silicon validation.
