Specialist Director, Governance, Risk, & Compliance
Join KPMG US as a Specialist Director in Governance, Risk, & Compliance, leading managed services projects and driving GRC initiatives within our Managed Services practice.
Responsibilities- Direct multiple managed services projects systematically, managing onshore and offshore resources, and establishing resource allocation, budget management, and client and administrative reporting.
- Develop KPMG’s Managed Services solution portfolio and lead go‑to‑market initiatives, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and contributing to firm‑wide thought leadership.
- Guide and develop team members, providing coaching, performance feedback, and preparing staff for advanced roles.
- Oversee MS teams across multiple projects, ensuring efficient GRC platform support, incident management, enhancement support, and continuous controls monitoring.
- Provide expert input into client risk registers and risk assessments, translating emerging regulatory and technology risks into business impact and directing compliance programs.
- Present to client senior/executive leadership quality risk posture reports, dashboards, governance committee materials, and strategic insights for baseline program management.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum ten years of recent experience in governance, risk, and compliance, with at least five years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, business administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience creating and expanding GRC offerings within a managed services context.
- Familiarity with audit testing and GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, Service Now, Metric Stream) and knowledge of NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, and other IT, privacy, and information security frameworks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical mindset, and independent judgment to support a customer‑service‑driven environment.
- Ability to travel as required.
