The WorkThe Salesforce System Engineer understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system:
Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with organizational unit personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify challenges, and recommend innovative solutions to align systems with business objectives.
- Perform feasibility studies, including cost/benefit analyses, for system modifications and alternative solutions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of user requirements, procedures, and process automation opportunities to improve systems and workflows.
- Evaluate Salesforce’s capabilities, limitations, and specifications to determine whether requested enhancements are achievable within existing technical architecture.
- Develop comprehensive user needs assessments, workflow documentation, and program functionality details to support system development and modifications.
- Design and implement Salesforce configurations, considering system scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all administrative and development work to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational goals.
- Configure and manage new Salesforce Orgs, ensuring alignment with organizational and operational requirements.
- Integrate Salesforce with third‑party tools and platforms, addressing interoperability and data synchronization challenges.
- Manage data migration activities, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout the process.
- Utilize CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) frameworks to deliver high‑quality, iterative, and incremental updates.
- Provide troubleshooting support, addressing production issues promptly to maintain system uptime and operational continuity.
- Actively participate in Agile (Scrum) team activities, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog prioritization.
- Ensure all development and administrative changes meet Agile standards and deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with HHSC stakeholders to gather feedback and adapt Salesforce functionalities to changing business needs.
- Provide 24/7 support as required to address system performance issues, implement critical fixes, and maintain system reliability.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving capacity, security, and scalability concerns.
- Conduct regular system health checks, backups, and version upgrades to ensure a stable and secure environment.
- Apply hands‑on expertise with Docu Sign integrations and Azure Data Factory workflows to support organizational needs, as applicable.
- Maintain awareness of new Salesforce features and industry best practices, proactively recommending upgrades and enhancements where necessary.

Here’s What You Need
- 7 years’ experience as a Salesforce Administrator, managing, maintaining, and overseeing the support of Salesforce Orgs and its environments. Implement and improve security policies and practices.
- 7 years’ experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, coding standards, change control, and version management including CI/CD toolsets such as Flosum.
