. We are looking for a security engineer with expertise and passion for designing and building the next generation of secure, multi‑tenant services and infrastructures for our cloud customers.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building secure, highly available services that run on the world’s largest cloud platform. The Principal Security Developer will own the design, implementation, and operation of security models and systems that protect our distributed, large‑scale infrastructure and services.
Responsibilities- Prototype, design, and implement security solutions for new and challenging problems.
- Drive and champion security tool development (e.g., scanning tools).
- Consult software development teams in the design and architecture of safe and secure systems through Threat Modeling and other exercises.
- Champion and consult on secure development lifecycle practices.
- Design and integrate verification and posture reporting mechanisms.
- Define security configuration and implementation best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related field.
- Experience building automated security solutions.
- Strong security experience, particularly with focus in one of the following areas:
- Defensive Security
- Offensive Security
- Service architecture and Design Patterns
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience scaling operational activities via Python, Bash, and other tools.
- Dev Ops or SRE experience operating large, distributed services.
- Expertise in designing database schemas in No
SQL/SQL. - Knowledge of bridging security engineering requirements into the software development life cycle.
- Security training and mentoring experience.
- Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, AI, and container orchestration.
- Experience designing resilient systems that support quick recovery.
Salary range (US): $96,800 – $251,600 per year, plus bonus, equity, and other compensation. Full benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more.
