Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced VERTEX Consultant with strong expertise in SAP integration to lead and support complex tax technology implementations.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of VERTEX configurations, SAP taxation processes, and third-party interface integrations.

This role requires a seasoned professional with excellent consulting, communication, and leadership skills to manage end-to-end project life cycles in a global delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support end-to-end implementations of VERTEX solutions integrated with SAP.
• Configure and maintain VERTEX for tax determination, calculation, and reporting.
• Analyze business requirements and design tax solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Set up and manage connectivity between VERTEX and third-party systems.
• Work with complex interfaces, ensuring accurate data flows and validations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable tax solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate with on-site and offshore teams.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify gaps, design solutions, and oversee implementation and testing.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including functional and technical specifications.
• Support project management activities and contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing.

• 13+ years of consulting experience with end-to-end project implementations.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on VERTEX configuration experience.
• At least two full lifecycle implementations involving VERTEX.
• Strong knowledge of tax configurations and processes within VERTEX.
• Proven experience integrating VERTEX with SAP, including taxation modules.
• Experience working with complex interfaces, data flows, and validations.
• Solid understanding of SAP taxation processes and environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering detailed solution designs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and stakeholder presentations.
• Experience working in S/4
  
  HANA environments (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field; CPA or CPA equivalent preferred.

• Prior experience in high-tech or software industries.
• Familiarity with SAP tax determination and compliance processes.
