The Microsoft Solutions Specialist is the subject matter expert for SHI's Microsoft customers. The Microsoft Solution Specialist identifies customer needs and requirements and recommends appropriate solutions for Microsoft products. The role focuses on CSP and EA management, SHI Professional and Managed Services, and CSP strategic growth. This hybrid position reports to Austin, TX as required for business needs.
Role Description- Primary focus on retention and growth sales of strategic Microsoft agreements.
- Support sales with customer engagements as the Microsoft subject matter expert.
- Manage ongoing customer engagement on upcoming Microsoft milestones, including renewal agreements and yearly true-ups.
- Work with customers to determine ideal business outcomes and position SHI professional managed service offerings.
- Strong knowledge of core Microsoft products, licensing strategies, and all operational aspects of Microsoft Enterprise Enrollments (contracts, order processing, MSLI, MLS analysis, etc.).
- Assist in training SHI sales teams on Microsoft products & programs and how customers can benefit from using core products.
- Prioritization and daily task management.
- Time management and meeting deadlines.

- Digital acumen: propose and use digital tools.
- Consultative sales: identify needs and close sales.

- Documentation: create and update accurate materials.
- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Basic proficiency in CRM software for customer interaction management.
- Basic proficiency in Cisco tools such as CCW, Connect the Dots, EOL/EOS newsletters, Webex Teams, datasheets, installation guides, and Customer Service Hub.
- Basic understanding of security technologies (firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, identity management).
- Basic ability to provide guidance and mentorship to teams.
- Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- 1‑3 years of experience in sales, sales support, IT, or a similar role.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 – $150,000, which includes base salary and bonus. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
