Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Infrastructure Technician for a cutting-edge technology facility located in Austin, TX. This role is perfect for a hands-on IT professional with expertise in Operating Systems, Server Configuration, and Data Center Operations. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers, virtualization platforms, and networking equipment.



Key Responsibilities

• Perform Operating System Installation for Windows Server, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Manage Data Center operations and infrastructure including power, cooling, and security.
• Deploy and maintain virtualization technologies across multiple platforms.
• Handle networking tasks, including rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
• Configure and manage GPU/CPU hardware for optimal performance.
• Conduct general infrastructure maintenance and provide on-site support.
• Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and AMD servers for deployment.
• Troubleshoot, test, and perform quality assurance of server hardware.
• Resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket system and perform logical troubleshooting.
• Cabling knowledge beyond just running cables—understanding port mapping, cable types, and their applications.
• Perform basic lab administration and handle Git Lab ticket management and asset tracking.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Center operations and IT infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting.
• Strong knowledge of GPU/CPU hardware and virtualization platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment and server rack installations.
• Familiarity with RAID levels, web server, and database installations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Security, or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with RAID configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git Lab ticket handling and asset management.
• Knowledge of cloud-based server maintenance.
