About the Role
The Training & Development Specialist will support the coordination and facilitation of a variety of programs for learner groups around the globe ranging from new employees to company leaders. They will have weekly/monthly planning and coordination tasks, such as sending calendar invitations for live sessions, checking HR Excel documents for new managers, and parsing compliance reporting data. The training specialist will also have people‑centered tasks, such as leading New Hire Onboarding weekly live sessions, facilitating employee skills training, and following up with learners about training or requests.
With prior background, the specialist can also help with instructional design for company‑wide soft‑skill training and ad‑hoc development requests. This role is part of the larger Training & Enablement department and reports to the Manager, Training & Development.
Hybrid in Austin, TX or Tampa, FL (In the office 3 days per week: Mon, Tues, & Thurs).
What You’ll Be Doing General Onboarding Program Management- Coordinate and facilitate weekly onboarding sessions.
- Maintain onboarding content accuracy through regular reviews and updates as business needs evolve.
- Design and build new onboarding sessions on common tools, with support from the Training Manager and collaboration with HR and IT stakeholders.
XP (Ongoing Employee & Leadership Development) Program Coordination
- Manage program communications timeline, coordinating with HR to schedule company‑wide emails.
- Facilitate select live learning sessions for the Ninja
XP program. - Support instructional design efforts for session materials under guidance from senior team members.
- Monitor weekly HR reports to identify newly promoted managers and ensure timely enrollment in Manager Onboarding.
- Track learner progress and follow up with participants on required training.
- Escalate completion issues to senior leadership when necessary to ensure program accountability.
- Generate monthly compliance reporting by department.
- Communicate compliance status to department heads as appropriate.
- Review and recommend replacement courses when training content reaches end‑of‑life.
- Coordinate monthly company newsletter content by soliciting updates from key departments.
- Respond to HR‑initiated training needs by creating custom learning content that aligns with employee skill development and creative interests.
- Provide flexible content creation support for emerging organizational training needs.
- Other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Education, HR, or a similar field preferred.
- 1–3 years experience in Training, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, or HR.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in a variety of departments.
- Problem‑solving skills and a willingness to proactively suggest improvements to processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with Work Ramp or other LMS preferred, or ability to learn new learning technologies (LMS) efficiently.
- Knowledge of instructional design is a plus but not required.
