The Role

AMD seeks a Senior HR Advisor in Austin, focusing on Data Reporting/Program Management. Responsibilities include analyzing & interpreting data, project managing, and supporting HR Business Partners to roll out programs with operational excellence.

The Person

Successful candidates will coach AMD management on HR insights, advise on policy and strategies, and manage programs such as performance management, compensation planning, talent planning, and employee relations. Must be consultative, multitask, fast‑paced, solution‑oriented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze large datasets, present actionable insights, and develop executive summaries for leadership.
  • Apply business knowledge to analytics, identifying trends that inform HR decisions.
  • Link content across disciplines.
  • Plan and implement cyclical HR programs (Performance Management, Rewards Planning, Talent Planning, Engagement Surveys) across multiple business lines.
  • Prepare program structures, timelines, and communicate milestones to stakeholders.
HR Generalist Responsibilities
  • Consult & support management and HR Business Partners in administering HR programs, strategies, and initiatives across AMD Functional Units.
  • Provide operational support to management teams and HR Business Partners.
  • Promote feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
  • Manage specific projects and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Partner internally to innovate, align, and enhance enterprise‑wide HR programs.
  • Identify and share best practices across functions.
Preferred Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, independent research, data validation, storytelling.
  • Proven HR operational skills.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR/TA systems (e.g., Success Factors).
  • Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Background in consultative HR roles.
  • Relationship‑building with HR colleagues and teams.
  • Interpersonal skills and influence across all levels.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a passion for professional development.
  • Collaborative, self‑motivated, high detail orientation.
Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related discipline from an accredited university.
