OverviewOur client, a rapidly expanding national home remodeling platform headquartered in Austin, is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the company’s people strategy during a significant phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team, the CHRO will be responsible for building and scaling the organization’s HR infrastructure, talent strategy, and leadership development across a multi-state workforce of corporate, sales, and field-based teams.
This leader will play a critical role in shaping culture, strengthening leadership capabilities, and ensuring the organization has the talent and systems necessary to support continued national expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the company’s human capital strategy aligned with growth and operational goals.
- Build scalable talent acquisition and workforce planning processes to support expansion into new markets.
- Oversee HR operations including compensation, benefits, HRIS, employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state employment regulations, including workforce eligibility processes such as I-9 and E-Verify for field-based employees.
- Develop leadership development, succession planning, and performance management programs.
- Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, culture, and change management.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level roles.
- Experience supporting multi-location or national organizations with large operational or field-based work forces.
- Background in construction, home services, manufacturing, or other operationally intensive industries strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build HR infrastructure in high-growth environments.
- HR certifications preferred (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR).
