Job Position:
Temp possible Temp to Hire HR Generalist

Location:

Austin, TX 78751

Pay Rate: $27/00 /hr

Shift:

A nonprofit organization in Central Austin dedicated to serving low-income families, seeking someone with a great personality who is genuinely a people person.

Job Duties /Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to licensing requirements with HHSC and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Administer and manage employee data and payroll processes using ADP.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing bilingual support to staff as needed.
  • Oversee compliance with Texas Workforce Commission regulations and ensure organizational policies align with legal standards.
  • Facilitate employee health and safety processes, including coordination with Concentra for workplace health services.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to support organizational goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to management and staff on HR-related topics, including labor laws and workplace best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • SHRM Certification is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is essential.
  • Proven experience in HR Generalist functions, particularly in recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and systems, including ADP.
  • Knowledge of HHSC licensing requirements and Texas Workforce regulations.
  • Experience coordinating with workplace health services, such as Concentra.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a temporary position and adapt quickly to organizational needs.
