Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
LHH is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a construction client located in the Austin Area. You'll shape programs that elevate engagement, streamline processes, and ensure a compliant, people-first workplace. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $90,000 - $110,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead full-cycle recruiting for all roles; streamline posting, screening, interviews.
- Oversee new-hire onboarding, orientation, and assimilation to ensure productive early experiences.
- Advise leaders on employee relations, investigations, and corrective action documentation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Administer benefit plans, open enrollment, and vendor relationships.
- Manage leaves of absence, disability, and return-to-work processes within policy.
- Coordinate workforce training programs; track completion and development plans.
- Maintain employee handbooks and HR policies aligned with legal and operational standards.
- Ensure accurate HRIS data; create headcount, turnover, and compliance reports.
- Support audits, employment verifications, and required reporting.
- Guide performance management cycles, calibrations, and coaching for supervisors.
- Drive engagement initiatives to boost retention, recognition, and communication.
- Bachelor Degree is preferred
- Experience in union environments is a plus
- Must have the ability to manage benefits and leaves in strict compliance.
- Ideal candidates will have experience with HRIS administration and reporting dashboards.
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEO, and related compliance requirements.
- Experience developing policies, handbooks, and consistent disciplinary practices.
- Ability to analyze HR metrics and present insights to leadership.
