Position: Assistant Golf Professional | Full-Time

Join our team as an Assistant Golf Professional and contribute to creating an exceptional golfing experience for our members and guests! The Assistant Golf Professional plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Golf Shop, outside services, and tournament functions. This position requires excellent human and public relations skills to ensure a high level of member and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pro Shop Operations:
    Perform opening and closing duties, manage tee time scheduling, and address inquiries about golf facilities.
  • Customer Service:
    Check in resort guests, public players, and members, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
  • Instruction:
    Conduct individual and group golf lessons, fostering skill development and a love for the game.
  • Staff Supervision:
    Assist in supervising the Outside Service Staff, emphasizing exceptional member and guest service.
  • Merchandising:
    Support all aspects of merchandising, including display setup, organization of goods, and sales.
  • Tournament Coordination:
    Aid in the organization and setup of golf tournaments, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Handicap Management:
    Assist in managing the Handicap program, maintaining accurate records.
  • Relationship Building:
    Develop and maintain positive relationships with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Communication:
    Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professionalism:
    Maintain a professional image and conduct oneself with integrity at all times.
  • Commitment to Golf:
    Demonstrate dedication to the game of golf and a determination to achieve Class A status.
  • Additional Duties:
    Perform other duties as directed by management.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working in the golf industry (pro shop experience preferred)
  • Currently enrolled as an associate of the PGA of America
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Proven experience in golf operations and customer service.
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft platforms, tournament programs, POS, tee time and internet software.
  • Passion for golf and a commitment to professional growth.
