Assistant Banquets Manager will be responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set‑ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This also includes working and communicating closely with all hotel departments and to ensure a successful and effective event resulting in a positive guest experience. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests.

The role will work with the Banquets Manager to supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the Banquet team including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants towards achieving exceptional guest service results and complete associate engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the hotel in reaching top‑box service scores on Meeting Planner surveys
  • Ensure clear communication and understanding with guests and departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders
  • Appropriate and timely setup of all functions and meetings while maintaining food, beverage, and meeting standards
  • Proactively review staffing and equipment needs
  • Coordinate and execute all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/CS, CS Floor, and Beverage teams
  • Manage short‑and long‑term banquet functions in both front‑ and back‑of‑house areas
  • Create an environment with the highest standards of quality service through effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and reinforcement
  • Facilitate administrative tasks including payroll, reports, forecasts, POS procedures, inventory, and budgeting for food and beverage functions
  • Perform daily walk‑throughs of banquet areas and storerooms to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
  • Develop ideas for special events and holiday functions

Event Services Manager roles are an integral part of the hotel’s overall Food and Beverage team.

Qualifications

2+ Years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in Hotels and/or Food and Beverage/Banquets

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to lift a moderate amount of weight

Refined verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to effectively connect with diverse groups of individuals
