Job Details- Compensation: hourly base pay range $10–$11 plus $13–$14 in tips.
- Work Schedule: dependent on hotel volumes, discussed during interview.
- Benefits: accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, telemedicine, 401k retirement plan. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Associate is also responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely and for assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick‑up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure.
Essential Functions- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients; acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. (25%)
- Use salutation of the day, welcome guests, practice proper phone etiquette, and post up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%)
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (20%)
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location. (10%)
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system; calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable).
- One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Ability to read and write standard English language; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees.
- Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
- Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
- Perform parallel parking.
- Job is fairly routine; incumbent follows established practices and procedures; duties performed with specific directions given and work checked or verified frequently; decisions made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods; may be required to run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Lift up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly. Majority of work performed outdoors with extreme heat and cold weather; travel up to 5% may be required.
