5th Street Diner is a diner‑themed bar and restaurant located inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin hotels in Downtown Austin. This new concept includes indoor dining space servicing hotel guests and residents.

As the host, you welcome guests and create the first impression. You manage table accommodations, offer menu recommendations, and act as the final point of contact to ensure guest satisfaction. If you have experience as a restaurant greeter or hostess, your skills are invaluable here.

• A friendly and welcoming demeanor
• High‑energy and personable, especially during busy morning service
• Previous customer service experience required
• Ability to multi‑task (use phone, computer, iPad, and other devices simultaneously)
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Desire to exceed guest expectations
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team
• Must be able to work early mornings
• Flexible schedule — willing and able to work early morning shifts, weekends and holidays
