SummaryWe are in search of a dynamic and results‑driven Group and Events Sales Manager to join our team! The Sales Manager is a fully competent professional who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage, and other Hyatt services to groups; managing accounts; conducting site inspections; soliciting and generating business for the hotel;
and booking short‑term groups in a fast‑paced environment while managing a high volume of customers and leads at any given time.
- Menu planning, agenda setting, hospitality amenities, room block management, and special VIP requests.
- Contract negotiations and review; facilitating communication before, during, and after the event with clients (bill review/management) and pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.
- Hosting Driskill Hotel tours.
- Maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Participating in and potentially leading event meetings and other staff meetings.
- Working cohesively as a team with the sales and events staff.
- Working closely with a coordinator and other support staff.

- Proven experience in group and event sales within the hospitality industry.
- Strong selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills; training is preferred.
- Prior experience prospecting and networking to gain new business is preferred.
- Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
- Ability to be on property on a daily basis.
- Prefer 1–2 years hotel sales experience or completed Management Trainee program.

Location:
Austin, TX | Salary range: $125,000–$175,000.
