Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Field Safety Specialist, you will be an essential part of the Safety Operations team supporting the development and implementation of innovative safety processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, excellent emotional intelligence, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

$50 per hour

What's the Job?
  • Lead local on‑ground operational safety requirements to ensure vehicle safety during testing and service operations.
  • Support incident response duties with professionalism, technical understanding, and quick decision‑making across various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Gather data, conduct interviews, and collect evidence related to vehicle safety events, near‑misses, and safety concerns involving our vehicles.
  • Build trusting relationships with cross‑functional teams to advise and support safety‑critical findings or events.
  • Collaborate with training teams to develop and execute safety training programs that enhance organizational safety culture and employee skills.
What's Needed?
  • 2-4 years of experience in Operational Safety, Field Safety Operations, Occupational Safety & Health, Emergency Management, or similar roles in fast‑paced environments.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence with an empathetic communication style that fosters collaboration and motivation.
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Emergency Management, or an equivalent field.
  • Ability to support incident response activities, including on‑call duties and complex problem‑solving.
