Position SummaryTherapist‑PRN at Austin Oaks Outpatient Branches. The therapist will develop treatment plans and discharge summaries, liaise with other disciplines and families, and assess and implement therapeutic services. The therapist works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director and must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in Texas (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or under supervision for licensure.
Responsibilities- Develop and write treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
- Liaise with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
- Assess, design, structure, and implement therapeutic services best meeting the needs of patients and families.
- Work collaboratively as a treatment team member.
- Education
:
Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field. - Licensure / Certification
:
Current Texas state licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) plus current CPR or BLS certification. Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date. Must be deemed a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP). - Experience
:
At least 6 months of experience providing individual, group, and family therapy, case management, and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility. Familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
