We are seeking a skilled and confident Phlebotomist to support two clinical environments:’s health clinic and a primary care/family medicine practice. This role requires independence, strong clinical accuracy, and the ability to adapt between OB‑focused workflows and general primary care needs. Full training and onboarding will be provided to ensure the candidate feels confident before working independently.
Day‑to‑Day ResponsibilitiesThe Phlebotomist will work independently across two clinical settings and will receive full onboarding and training to ensure confidence before working solo.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform venipuncture using straight needles (preferred).
- Conduct glucose testing and assist with pap smear‑related specimen handling.
- Drop off specimens as required.
- Enter patient and specimen data accurately into internal systems.
- Process and prepare specimens for transport.
- Maintain accurate timely data entry.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety protocols.
- Strong phlebotomy experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Confident and proficient with straight needle venipuncture.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Prior exposure to OB or women’s health a significant advantage.
- Struggle with computer systems or electronic documentation.
- Have only blood bank experience (not a fit for this role).
- Rely heavily on butterfly needles (very limited use in these clinics).
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
