• Ascension Seton is looking for an APRN or PA for our Outpatient Wound Care and Burn Clinic.
• This is a great opportunity to provide medical services to patients at Dell Seton Medical Center UT located in Austin, TX.
• As a teaching hospital, our Outpatient Wound Care and Burn Clinic team is composed of physicians, APPs, residents from various programs, and medical students.
• There is potential for APP students to rotate through based on approval from wound care leadership and academic administration.
• This position involves the care of chronic and complex wounds including burn wounds.
• The APP maintains a schedule independent from clinic physicians.
• Responsibilities include:
  
  H&P, follow ups, sharp debridement, obtaining cultures, and participation in clinic process improvement.
• Bedside procedures are performed within the clinic.
• This position involves teaching and guiding residents as they rotate through the clinic.
• You will work collaboratively with the clinic medical director, clinic manager, and clinic staff.
• Further information regarding day-to-day duties will be discussed in the initial stages of the interview process.

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education:
  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
• Work Experience:
  • 1 year of experience preferred.
