Job DescriptionAbb Vie’s Austin-based Inside Sales team supports existing field sales, operational, and marketing initiatives using approved best practices, job aides, and quality metrics to build lasting relationships with Healthcare Practices nationwide.
We are seeking high-energy, self-motivated, dynamic individuals to join a team that values achievement. Candidates must work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on utilizing phone and other channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with healthcare professionals to achieve brand objectives.
Successful candidates will have strong verbal communication skills, be highly organized, flexible, self-starters, and able to articulate value consistently to foster growth of an expanding customer base by creating positive interactions and lasting relationships.
Core Responsibilities- Use inside sales techniques to achieve positive results with a targeted list of healthcare professionals.
- Apply account management skills such as call planning, customer education, reporting, and follow-up to maximize territory performance.
- Establish a commanding and engaging phone presence to build rapport and engage in clinical/promotional conversations.
- Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and maximize sales and market share objectives.
- Profile and manage a targeted list of healthcare professionals and provide value-added benefits to grow product volume.
- Maintain product expertise including competitive knowledge and communicate information clearly using medical terminology.
- Complete product training (self-study, testing, field work, and classroom or virtual) and meet training expectations.
- Demonstrate effectiveness working independently and in a team environment.
- Introduce, establish, grow, and retain an expanding group of healthcare professionals across various roles, including office staff, Medical Assistants, nurses, and doctors.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
Education and/or experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent employment experience
- Ability to work independently, highly organized, and superior communication skills
- Experience in an environment driven by established goals and metrics
- Experience in the healthcare industry involving interaction with physicians and office staff (preferred)
Desired knowledge
- Knowledge of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Knowledge of Salesforce (preferred)
- Compensation notes and pay disclosure requirements apply where required by law; ranges are based on job grade and geographic location and may be modified.

- This position is eligible to participate in short-term incentive programs.
