Overview
The clinic therapist Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) provides therapeutic services to children with serious mental illness and to their families. The therapist works in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals and families to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. The therapist conducts diagnostic evaluations and provides assessments of strengths, preferences, challenges and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s).
The therapist provides individual, family and/or group counseling using evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities. The therapist will provide consultation for treatment team and community partners as needed. The therapist may also provide crisis assessment and interventions as needed. The therapist works on a team with other behavioral health professionals to coordinate client care. Must possess a strong knowledge of the common diagnoses and treatment for school-aged children and youth and possess the skills necessary to facilitate positive change for clients and families.

ResponsibilitiesRegular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
- Provide therapeutic services to children with serious mental illness and to their families.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments of strengths, preferences, challenges and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorders.
- Deliver individual, family and/or group counseling using evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities.
- Provide consultation for treatment teams and community partners as needed.
- Provide crisis assessment and interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with a team of behavioral health professionals to coordinate client care.
- Maintain strong knowledge of diagnoses and treatments for school-aged children and youth and facilitate positive change for clients and families.
- Education —
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - License —
Required:
Current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; licensure as LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT. - Experience — Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish; experience in working with children and families.
Workhours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Salary: $74,297.27 - $94,721.12 based on years of licensure.
