Job Summary
Housing Stability Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions using a recovery‑based and trauma‑informed perspective. These specialists operate in a dynamic environment, develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and cultivate a clinical skill‑set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members.
Interventions and services are typically provided in the community and require a personal automobile and cell phone.
Housing Stability Specialists work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. They participate in diagnostic evaluations and provide assessments of strengths, preferences, functional impairments and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co‑occurring disorders at regular intervals to ensure optimal and personalized services. Frequent service coordination with external and internal providers is necessary to support individuals in achieving independent functioning.
Housing Stability Specialists may provide all or some of the following:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions fostering skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain/maintain employment or housing, or acquire services such as school, medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, and resources fulfilling any basic need.
- Facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and/or utilize other evidence‑based interventions or therapeutic modalities.
- Work under the supervision of an LPHA who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of all assessments, diagnoses and treatment.
- Perform on‑call responsibilities as required by unit protocols.
- Possess bilingual communication skills, with completion of a language competency test if needed.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered an essential requirement. Other duties may be assigned. A flexible work schedule may be required.

EducationRequired:
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Required:
Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Hours: Full‑time
Workdays: Monday – Friday
Work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $24.18 – $25.39 an hour based on education
